Pages of Rants - Mixed Morals - Ok, I've always urred when it comes to expressing my opinion on some subjects, because my understanding of several subjects can be very limited. Plus, after a very brief discussion, I come to realise that I'm just an idiot.

However, this has been bugging me. First off, I can't understand how a murderer can be seen as a role model and deserve so many fans. And I also can't fathom as to why so many people want to kill Mary Bale for putting a cat in a bin.

I'd go into a huuuuuuuuuuge rant here, but I'll spare you the wall of text. But, let's sum this up:

Raoul Moat was and always will be a killer, and shot himself to escape his punishment.
Mary Bale put a cat in a bin, and has apologised profusely for it.
A large group of british people think Moat is awesome, and Bale deserves to die.

It's fair enough that these people allowed to express their opinion online; My opinion is that these people are stupid.

- Wow, seriously?

I think the worst part is that I only heard about the cat thing.

- I love this comic :)

And yeah it's a bit fucked up, but we are British after all.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

- Ok there is an error here, and that is basically reading the media as a guide to what people think. Of course there are people who liked this guy who murdered people. It's not a large segment of the public, but if you look at it on it's own it seems larger. Plus these people don't support his murder, they remember a different person. Quote from site:

"I don't know really. A few of us came to a decision but it's going to be up again running. We don't condone what he did, as what he did was wrong. I feel sorry for the families but he was still a human being at the end of the day."

As for the cat you've just hit another segment of the community who feel disgusted that someone could do that to a cat.

Remind me why you believe the whole of Britain have to share the same opinions?

- Ah, yes. I have had this pointed out to me before. While it might be two different groups of people, you can't ignore the people who said that Moat should have killed more people, and the people sending death threats to the cat-bin lady. It's this mindset that confuses me most.

Erkle (Guest), August 28th, 2010, 4:33 pm
- of course you can't understand the mindset. If you understood the way everyone thinks your head would explode.

plus we often fit into our "roles" as it were. Or we act like people we agree with. If you get a bunch of rich dudes together, they'll feel superior to poor people and act that way a lot of the time. And poor people will lament about how much rich guys are asses.

- "wheelie bin"?

oh you british.

Minty (Guest), August 29th, 2010, 11:53 am
You haven’t thought this through - Well we can’t kill or wound the murderer, he committed suicide. But the cat lady on the other hand isn’t dead and thus the possibility of killing her is also “alive”. U just haven’t thought this through, have u?

MADAGASCAR, August 30th, 2010, 5:36 pm
- Wow, those are some terribly poor arguments, guys. Butthurt that Luke found you out?
